A Fit of Giggles

Last night, Cecilia burst into a fit of giggles for the first time!  Mommy was rough housing with George and she thought it was funny.  Matt and I have better videos of her laugh fest on our phones, but the video from our camera is a much better quality.  Enjoy!

Matt and I also put together Cecilia's Christmas present early last night.  She received a jumper/spinner thingie that makes lots of noise.  She loved it, but she was a little over-stimulated at first.  Below are a couple of photos of her in it.  Notice her feet do not even touch the ground and the seat is on its lowest setting!

Update since the last blog post

I need to apologize for taking so long to post an actual blog from the previous one (early November?).  With the holiday season has brought lots of activity!  Right before Thanksgiving we celebrated Cecilia's baptism and Matt's birthday.  The day didn't start off great for there was freezing rain, but everyone made it to the church on time (love me some eighties tunes!) and back to our house for some grub!

All tuckered out after her long day

Just a few days after the baptism/birthday we celebrated Thanksgiving in Grand Forks.  Typical, we drove through a snow storm with freezing rain/snow.  This happens every year with us whether it is Thanksgiving or Christmas.  The Minnesota roads were fine, but North Dakota needs to take notes from their neighbor and learn how to properly clean their roads!  It was a great meal and fun on Thanksgiving.  Everyone from my mom's side of the family was there for dinner except for Callie--We missed you!  Keyan and Cecilia got to hang out with one another.  It is so much fun to see those two together for each visit brings something new.  They are both growing so fast and they talk more and more to one another each time they see one another.

Ooo, Button!

Sweet Keyan

Jesus loves Keyan :)

It was lots of fun in Grand Forks, but is was nice to get home.  We visited Matt's family at Ray and Melissa's when we returned.  It's always fun playing Apples to Apples and munching on yummy Thai food!  Thank you Murray's!  Of course, with Thanksgiving over meant decorating our home for Christmas!  This is by far my favorite time of year especially now that we have a beautiful baby girl to include with the festivities :)  I am loving the chance of implementing traditions for years to follow (pickle ornament and Elf on a Shelf game).  Of course, Ceci won't be able to play find the pickle of elf until next year, but it's still fun to have!  Cecilia also loves it when I sing Christmas songs to her.  Thank goodness I can still hold a tune otherwise Ceci might cry rather than smile and giggle when I sing to her.  So far her favorite song for me to sing to her is Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.

As you can see from the three videos I posted previously, Cecilia is talking!  She is out little chatty Cathy.  Along with talking, she has learned to prop herself up on her elbow (with help from mommy and daddy) and roll over.  She doesn't get upset when she rolls over and quickly learns how to correct herself.

Propped up on her elbows and yes, that IS Glee music playing in the background :)

This past weekend, Matt and I took Ceci to see Santa.  We stood in line for an hour and a half before Santa arrived and I'm glad we did.  The line was ridiculously long by the time Santa arrived to see the kiddies!  Cecilia did so well with Santa.  She was talking to him and was beyond interested in his shirt!  Santa was so kind to Cecilia and I think that helped, but the other mommies in line kept telling me that next year will be the year that she screams in fear for her stranger danger instincts will kick in...lets hope not!

Matt and I also took Cecilia to Joe Sensor's this past weekend to cheer on the almighty NDSU Bison football team.  They beat Montana St. in the playoff game.  She didn't quite like all the noise (LOTS of loud cheering for the Bison), but was fascinated with watching the game on the large TV's.  She has become very interested in watching TV lately, mainly Fraggle Rock and Sesame Street.  Thank goodness I have Fraggle Rock on dvd because it keeps her occupied while I do stuff around the house.

Cecilia and mommy played a little game.  Watch the video below (and make sure to turn your volume up pretty loud for Cecilia's voice is not as loud as mommy's)!
